Inspired by Cinema,
Vedika and Omair gave a new meaning to the concept of “do as ye will”. It felt like a ceremony of ethereal beings who knew the power ones’ words holds. As if the words are enough to convey and seal the potent connection they have with one another. Because that’s what it was. A wedding that celebrated each other with heartfelt vows, deep rooted words that now bind them in this holy union. It was beautiful. It was surreal. And did we already say it was ethereal? Not enough? Well, it was ethereal.
Now what do we write about this wedding? No matter how well we write we won’t be able to justify the experience of shooting this wedding. Epic, soulful, beautiful, modern and above all … heartfelt. Experiences like these are what pushes us forward and like Sangeeta said …. “It’s just the beginning”.
The firecracker-Sid married his dream girl-Saloni, to have and to hold, to love and to amuse, to find unconventional ways to express how much his little red heart loves hers. That time capsule has been counting up since April 2019, and for infinite time to come, for they lived happily ever after…
Ah ah already loved you. Ah ah already loved you.
What a surprise, couldn’t believe my eyes. Didn’t even think about it, didn’t even think about it.
Coz ah ah already loved you, ah ah already loved you.
- Stef’s song for Akshay.
Documenting a wedding is one thing but translating how we as a filmmakers felt while shooting the wedding is a different thing altogether.

Films that take a deep dive into the emotions that surround a typical Indian wedding.

Sometimes, in all our lives, comes a connection so profound that makes all of our sufferings and rock bottoms worth it. All the bends and turns, getting lost on our paths and mistakes made, and all the coincidences suddenly feel like divine interventions to get us to our true home. Chitralekha and Holm, we were privileged to witness this journey of yours. If we could dedicate an anthem to you, it would be “God blessed the broken roads that led me straight to you”.

Wedding is a space where laughters ring as much as tears flow. It is not just the coming together of a man and a woman - it is every member of their family making space for the new relations - while loosening their hold on the existing one. But for a set of twins that came to this world with a tightly knit soul bond, this marks the beginning of their individual paths.
We are a collective of people born and raised in the best of both worlds - a progressive, broad-minded world that lets one be independent and aspire to live every dream; and a world built on a culture that helps cement the feeling of love and respect in definitive, lasting relationships. Why is it then, that when it comes to falling in love again, we have to choose being in one of the two worlds? Why does our culture not let two people, who have been through a sour relationship and finally found the right person to spend their life with, go ahead with the seven circumambulations and seal their love in immovable finality?
Second marriage, for many, is still taboo. And this story illustrates why it’s not. It’s a treatise on how the past doesn’t come in the way of love and respect. It’s a heroic tale of victory over stereotypes and archaic customs. It’s a story of how love always triumphs in the end. Every moment that we spent with Deepal and Nishant convinced us that life can be made beautiful… that tears can be turned into a drizzle of hope; that fear can be turned into the excitement of exploring the unknown; that the end is but a new beginning.
To say that we are in awe of this couple would be an understatement. We can only imagine what they’ve been through. And we couldn’t be happier to witness and document their journey to a whole new world where there’s only happiness, fulfilment, and a whole lot of fun.
Here’s to the two most beautiful people we’ve met… here’s to falling in Love in the Second Innings.

Some weddings have so much music that they dont need an additional soundtrack. Felt like going back to our roots and filming a wedding in our own family.

Exactly today last year we ( and almost the entire Udaipur ) celebrated Reva and Zach’s wedding . We called it our Happy New Year wedding and rightfully so coz what a start it gave to us for 2024 and what a year it has been .
